The return policy is a service provided when you buy the item. In a sense, you're buying the ability to return that item as well as the item itself.

Of course, there's a "good faith" element in there as well.

Oh, I never said he should be doing this, but I'm simply saying the bullshit goes both ways. I'm sure they're crying up there that the occasional abuse is driving up prices.
