"r_fullbright 1" prevents the engine from using the lightmaps, so the textures are full intensity. It doesn't do anything to increase FPS in this respect.

Obviously the dynamic lighting isn't visible, because the textures are already fullbright. I don't know if r_fullbright ignores the function that renders dynamic lighting though (whichever function that may be). That function may still be called and run it's cycle.

It wasn't really designed as a performance enhancer as much as a map designing/debugging tool.

ANYWAY, I haven't noticed any [substantial] increase in FPS by using r_fullbright.

It works on my 545 but is really not playable. I set the memory to have 9.07 MB free program and 1.94 MB free storage. With some more tweaking, I can free a lit bit more RAM but I thought 9MB was enough.

I plan on getting the 548 as soon as the new camaras become available but I'm tempted to wait to see what, if anything, HP will do with bluetooth.

Nonetheless, the question was whether it *could* run on a 545 and answer is yes. Is is playable? Not really.

Are you running it through a shortcut in the start menu then? I have to load file explorer to get to it (which takes a little memory right?) then go to the memory screen and drag it all the way to the left and i'm still not getting enough.

Could you describe exactly what you have done, from 'installation' to running it, if its not too much trouble.

Thanks
Paul
