The problem is that CS would take QuakeC programming. It's not hard, it's just a pain in the ass. And honestly, when your framerate takes the hit that it does from a couple of models onscreen, how well are you going to be able to pull off squad tactics? And when your framerate is 5-10/sec, who'd want to be a sniper or play a one-shot-one-kill game? I wouldn't. Maybe Chuck's more into CS than I was, but it just doesn't seem like it'd be much fun to me.

If you could do it single-player, and institute something like slowed time during sniping, lower-poly models, and low-detail levels, you might be able to pull it off. Even then, it'd be a massive undertaking.

By the way, I did some r_speeds clocking on my iPAQ today to see what kind of detail level it will support. Obviously the r_speed rate won't port over directly, but the number of polys will. I think if you try to keep it in the double-digits for total wpolys, that will make for smooth gameplay. If I went to an area where it went over 100, PQ started getting choppy, and if I ran it over 200 I started having trouble aiming. At 400 in certain areas of DM6 it turned into a slideshow. I know that's a tough level constraint, but it will help, and detail isn't that evident on the small screen anyway.
