Maybe randall and I can agree on something here, becuase I am most interested in his oppinion on this.<br><br>The first 3, ok, maybe only the first 2 movies were great (ep4 and ep5).  They hit the fairy tale, epic quest, hero, heroine, villain thing right on the head.  It was so impressive as to be almost timeless.<br><br>Then there was episode 1.  Which I think fell sooo short of the greatness of the others that I walked away feeling cheated.  Am I the only one?

Not such a fanboy thing...I really felt that way.<br><br>There were parts that were really great, but overall it was kinda crappy.

I have the original movies on VHS, as well as the special editions. So watch them ocasionally.<br><br>Remember when all three "special editions"  were re-released in the theatres about a year before Episode 1? Well the original movies were great for their time, but the acting still sucked. Except for the veterans of theatre like Alec Guiness (Ben Kenobi) and Peter Schilling (Grand Moff Tarkin).<br><br>Episode 1 at least lived up that standard with mind blowing special effects and bad acting. The plot of E1 was better than ROTJ. Darth Sideous and Darth Maul are 10 times the badass that Emperor Palpatine was in ROTJ.<br><br>Although I still love the calm, power and technical skill Darth Vader portrays while dueling with a lightsaber. If you notice, he fights with a one-handed technique in an offensive flat-footed stance. Continually pushing his oppenent back.<br><br>Luke on the other hand is bouncing around like a friggin scared mouse and nearly loses his head.<br><br>If you ask me, I think ESB is the best of all of them. The AT-ATs and AT-STs were the most amazing contraptions ever concieved. The introduction of Yoda and the sparks flew between Leia and Solo. The capture of Solo and the duel of father/son.<br><br>Sorry, I went off topic many times... what was the question? lol
