Fortunately(I know I can't spell), members can edit their posts. But yes, I can read quite well, I am just rather tired.

Some GeForce 3's and even 2's can outdo some of the Radeon cards.

"ATI Graphics Controller, 384KB internal video memory" and two pieces of software from ATI for that RGB VGA expansion "IA ScreenMirror" and "IA Presenter"

If that was the Imageon, with capabilities as highly toted as you all proclaim, wouldn't they name it as such in their "Detailed Specs" PDF file? Does anyone have these two ATI applications? Has anyone gotten these 'mysterious' drivers (yes, mysterious) from Toshiba that boost performance to a staggering 80-100% above current devices in multimedia applications?

The only download available for the Toshiba e740 is the USB drivers... but hey, they have a handy dandy Bluetooth SDIO card for only $200.

...

Can I buy one now :)

[EDIT] Okay, I found that it says Imageon in the press release, hidden deep within the specs in fine print. "Graphics Processor ATI IMAGEON™ 100" I have slightly more faith.

Go read this review of the e740:

Look at the benchmark results, then compare them to these results for other Pocket PC devices:

Which values are slower? Which are faster? From what I see, I would say a lot of the GDI operations are being performed by the ATI chip. Text drawing is slower and stretched blits are horrible. That is probably due to them being performed in software rather than by the ATI chip. What do you think?

Look at the memory move results. They seem to be slower on the e740 compared to an iPaq. However, the memory fill operation is faster. Use your head. That means reading memory is slower than writing memory.
This also means that games that use GAPI and read large blocks of memory will probably be around the same speed or slightly slower on the e740.
None of the existing Pocket PC games that use GAPI will take advantage of the ATI's increased blit speed unless they are rewritten to copy their back buffer to the front buffer using GDI's BitBlt. Same thing goes for your video playback.

This isn't rocket science fellas. Relax and look at the benchmark numbers. The data is there. All you need to do is use half your brain to interpret it.

No, I'm taking stabs in the dark as well.. Your theory just seemed like one of the more interesting ones.
