or that, too. But the PSX version of Q and Q2 are not as graphically intense as they computer counterparts.

Oh there's a difference... if it can run on that 33MHz proc then there's a difference. Fudge the 'special graphics chip.'

Textures in the PSX version are cut down, as is lighting and the polygon count on objects and some level structures.

Note that the PSX Q2 is very different from the PC version, which was designed for 3D 'filtering' accelerators in a different way.

That said and there's nothing easy about the PSX version of Q2 and the fact that it runs faster than the true PPC 'port' is still rather funny =). They do look very similar and you don't really notice the missing details.

Indeed I'm surprised the emulator runs so well full stop, it really is amazing what it can do given the problems of other PPC 3D titles =). It's far from fast, but it's comparitivly impressive and makes you wonder how and why emulation can almost be faster than true code..
