I'm stuck between the A730 and the Loox 720.
Frankly, I'd pay $50 extra for the loox because it has better battery, a jog dial, and a frontal speaker.
However, with the right kind bad luck, my over-$600 investment can become some useless junk, because I don't know what kind of warranty service I can expect from FSC. I mean it supposedly has a "global warranty," but somehow I don't feel too reassured on getting help if and when the loox starts acting funny.
I guess I could e-mail FSC UK and ask if they'll fix it if I mail it to them, but what if they say no?
Suddenly the lack of jog-dial and the speaker on the back doesn't seem like a major issue, if you know what I mean. (I still shiver at the idea of having to switch batteries after 2,3 hours of use though... I just KNOW I'll be too lazy for that...)
But I should reasonably expect kind help from ASUS customer service, right? because they do have a HQ in the US.
If anyone can tell me about either the FSC or ASUS warranty service in the US, especially on A730W or the loox 720, please share with me.
Thanks,
Grant
