0.7.1 has been released, just for easter (yes we like to release on special occasions :D)

This release is a maintenance release for 0.7.0 - the following bugs have been addressed

General updates

    -Less memory-hungry MPEG movie playback for the Broken Sword games

    -Fixed wrong actor animation in Full Throttle INSANE

Windows Mobile bug fixes

    -Fixed FOTAQ crash on all platforms when leaving the hotel AGAIN
    -Better low quality Adlib emulation for FOTAQ
    -Fix randomly broken Hide Toolbar option (thanks iKi)
    -Fix first hardware key mapping (was not displayed before)
    -Fix BASS & Simon hangs on Smartphone when using the Skip hotkey
    -Fix Zone key action on Smartphone (now mapped on key 9)
    -Experimental third party VGA mode (SE-VGA) fix
    -Add Key Mapping option in the launcher (Options / Misc / Keys)
    -Remove AYGSHELL.DLL dependency to work on CE .Net platforms
    -Fix key mapping issues introduced in 0.7.0
    -Full Throttle interactive action sequences should be more playable.
    -New key mapping option "FT Cheat" to win a Full Throttle action sequence
    -Quit Simon game with 'Action key' on Smartphones

Hi Arisme:
The key-mapping problem with the HP4700/4705 (and maybe other VGA-capable units) has changed in v0.7.1. In 0.7.0 a constant 'dummy' code '0020' appeared to be assigned for all buttons thus allowing you into the game. In 0.7.1 there is no response to any key press so that what happens in a game like Sam 'N Max where a Rt-Click must be assigned is that you get trapped in a loop- no key is assigned, you can't proceed to the game & you can't exit so you have to do a soft-reset.

Although I haven't had the HP4705 for very long, as far as I know, there's only one mode available. The HP4705 doesn't really allow a true VGA mode- it simply doubles the number of pixels in the same space so that the picture/color benefits. The Pocket Scumm games that can run (eg. Monkey Island 1) look great on it & run w/o problem.

mmh OK ... I'll try to do more tests (I only had time to test with the debug build, but the release build shouldn't break something as critical as keyboard support ...)

I have Axim X50 basic and after I map freelook to a hardware button it just doesn't work. Did anyone have a similar problem? Other functions do work, like right click, hide and keyboard.
(game I tryed: Secret Of The Monkey Island 1&2, Indiana Jones and the last crusade and the fate of atlantis)

Same problem with a hx2410

I also cannot map any keys on my hx2410 using scumm 0.7.1.

I found some earlier references in this forum to a missing gapi or gx.dll - I downloaded and installed the dll in my \windows dir, but this did not help.

Glad to know I am not the only one...

Update : I discovered I can map the keys to my DPAD sides buttons. So I can map a maximum of 4 keys. The middle button does not work, nor any other hardware keys.

I still can't Save in TFAQ, however, even with the save button mapped. After clicking on 'make entry', I type out an entry in the logboek, press YES, but when I want to restore I don't see anything in the logboek.

ThinkOutside Mouse problems
I'm having problems with my iPAQ hx4700 and my mouse. When I rotate the screen into landscape mode (clicking the monkey), the mousecursor doesn't follow the screen. It needs to be rotated 90 degrees aswell :cry:

INI File generated at first launch of ScummVM is corrupted, when I try to launch ScummVM later again.

All savegames are "invalid savegames" when trying to load afterwards.

Try this: Double-Tap on the "Map" button before you press a hardware button. You will need to do this before each press of a hardware button.

At least it works on my Axim X5.

Bug: DOTT and ScummVM v0.7.1

Hi, I am experiencing a bug that a number of other users have experienced in previous versions of ScummVM - See links at end.

Played Tentacle almost all the way through. One BIG problem though -- when I go to use the 2-CENT PONY EXPRESS STAMP with the SIGNED CONTRACT, I get an "Unrecoverable exception" error. I have attached a copy of the savegame and crash dump.

I'm using an iPAQ HX-4700 running Windows Mobile 2003 SE. PocketSCUMM is on the internal iPAQ File Store which has over 70MB free.

Hope this bug can be fixed or a workaround provided as I'm throroughly enjoying playing this game again.

Thanks, I missed the crash dump to try to fix it in 0.8.0. According to the latest bug report on ScummVM site http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.ph ... tid=418820 not using the "use" verb is a workaround :D

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately the workaround does not work in my case. If I select the stamp by clicking on it and then click on the contract (or vice versa) it still crashes.

I then looked at the bug tracking on this subject and noticed one that referred to the location of the saved directory files not being on a drive that was constantly rewritable. I therefore moved my entire Scumm set of files from the iPaq File Store (internal memeory) to my SD card and tried playing the game again. This time it worked - whoopppeeee!!!!
