Anthelion 2 final mission

Made it to final mission with no real glitches. Now after defeating the first few ships, I'm told to throttle down so they can upgrade my ship. I throttle down and wait but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

I had the same problem, too, at first. It's because using the stylus to throttle down doesn't work properly. I got past it by assigning the "throttle down" to a hardware button, which, when held down, will stop your ship completely. Good luck with the final mission!
