The myth that you can catch HIV through saliva is absolute rubbish. Mucus does not come out of the blood, it is not in contact with blood and never will be.
THE ONLY WAY it is possible to catch a disease through kissing is for the both people to have an open wound in their mouth. Eg, tooth extraction, piercings etc.
It really pisses me off that people think that. Moose... with all your pro-religion views: do you believe that people who contract AIDS, or any other disease like that have "upset God", or "Been cursed by the devil?" (I love that one

So, you don't kiss people in case you catch something? Take it from me, the worse thing you're going to catch is either a cold-sore or a common cold.
