Pocket Quake on an EM-500... Worth installing?

Pocket Quake on an EM-500... Worth installing?

Postby Homer » Sep 16, 2002 @ 9:09am

Hi all. I know PQ has been around for a while, but I only just got around to finding out about it. I'm just wondering if anyone who has installed the MIPS version on an EM-500 can tell me whether or not its worth the trouble to install (that is, is it playable, and what kind of framerates do you get?).

I got around 7 FPS on my Casio E-125 overclocked to 180MHz. I think somewhere around 6 not overclocked. But that's without an optimized config file to lower the detail and thus speed up the game a couple more frames per second. With optimizations to the config file you'll get 8

I got about 6-7 on my E-125 and it was playable and I had a lot of fun with it, so I'd say it's worth it.
