Yes it does man! I binded x to screenshot then i pressed x and it said at the top saving quake001.pcx, i went and looked at it, black & white.

Try opening the PCX file with a different program. I have used IrfanView with success, and then you can convert it to a gif or jpeg.

Paint always screws up Quake generated PCXs

As for Moose, don't mind him, he doesn't know what he's doing.
