Next year, the supposedly the ARM11 and CE.net will be released. I personally think CE.net will be a flop. Copying off an OS that isn't very inituitive with organizing, on a pocket device isn't a good idea. I have high hopes for ARM11 though. If possible, it should show what the Xscale was supposed to be like.

I heard the Ipaq series has the best battery life (3900\3800\3700). Haven't looked up on it, someone else here will know.

I get 14.9 hours with my iPaq H3955 fully charged. And that's VERY accurate. I charge it once every two weeks, and I use it atleast an hour every day... hey, that adds up to 14 hours over two weeks! :D

If there is one thing i wanna see in a future PPC is an FPU!!

I think instead of trying to fit a full speed FPU into them why dont developers try fitting a half speed FPU or one that is only on when required! (cos FPU's suck juice from the battery!)

If anyone remembers the old cyrix cpu's youll know what i mean about half speed FPU's!! For the purpose of a multimedia PC this is crap but for PPC just perfect! I mean the clever programmers have got sooooo much out of PPC's without using any kind of FPU hardware.....

Just imagine the possibilites when the PPC's get FPU's!! :D

Bender, why do you think CE4 will be a flop? I was planning to get a PPC next year, most likely one that would use CE4 when it was out. Dunno what you mean about copying off an OS with a bad interface. Wouldn't CE4 have its own PPC GUI for PPC's, the way CE3 does?

Yeah, an FPU would be nice...

Wouldn't that speed up Quake? :D
