I've tested the Zayo- it simply hauls ass. If anyone has gotten the hardware right as far as mobo and CPU, its the Zayo. Strange that its produced by the same company that makes the Razor scooters.

ASUS has a huge presence in PC mobos, and actually implents the hardware better than ATIs pitiful attempt in mobile graphics chips.

I also played with the Zaurus back un July. I hate the friggin keyboard, and found that to be the weakest part of the whole device. Linux is nice, but I don't see this going anywhere within the marketspace. Linux is still pushing its "elite" status for the hardcore and doesn't focus on the practical everyday user.

Snails is slated to be ported to the Zaurus however. Its not for the money, because frankly, the money and market simply isn't there. Its like people promising that a dev will make so much more money by creating a Mips version. Bullshit. Mips and SH3 combined barely make a fraction of our "Snails Sales", and its slipping every day.

The Zarous is dieing. Some stores, like staples, are no longer carrying the device since nobody was buying it.

This thing looks awesome. The screen not only supports 640X480 but it will rotate and fold back onto the keyboard so you have the best of both worlds (play Van Halen song here......yes, I'm old)

Unfortunately, its initial release is only in Japan. I hope it makes it over here to the US.
