What's wrong with XScales after all?

P5s have two pipes, x and y. And it is unlikely that both are running full speed. Maybe on a good day you can get 1.5 operations a clock cycle, if everything is ordered optimally. I have a 400 K6/III that runs about as fast as my XScale 400, running similar (in job), super-optimized code.
