Put the iPaq in the cradle, run ActiveSync, double click on the game's install file that you downloaded.

Well you can download the manual and drivers for your iPaq at www.compaq.com
The manual will tell you everything you need to know and the drivers will let your computer recognize your PocketPC.

You can download the latest version of ActiveSync from www.pocketpc.com ActiveSync is the program that allows you to connect your PocketPC to your Desktop machine to install programs and transfer files and information.

I'm going to assume you have properly connected the cradle to the computer. After you install the drivers from Compaq and ActiveSync then it should be quite easy sailing. Just double click on the Snails installation file (while the PocketPC is in its cradle and ActiveSync is running) that you download from the official Snails website and it should install itself, just follow the prompts.

If you still can't figure it out, well that's what the forum is here for ;)

Did you plug the cradle into the back of your computer? The plug in for the cradle should be a small rectangular (about 14:1 ratio) connector. If you look at the back of your computer you should see two of these connections on the back of your computer right next to each other. Plug it in there.

If you cannot find that connector then you should have noticed that the cradle has two seperate connectors on the end. One is small and rectangular like I just mentioned. The other is big and trapezoidal. Only one of these needs to be plugged in. The small rectangular one is a newer type of connection which is faster. Plug that one in if you can. The other one is slower, but all computer should have it. Look for a "female" connector that is the same trapezoidal size and shape. It might have an "IOI" looking symbol above the plug on the back of your computer. Plug this bigger connection in to that location.

Once you plug it in and put the PocketPC in the cradle you should be able to open ActiveSync and go to File -> Connect (it might be named "Connection Manager" or anything else that's similar) and it should then detect your PocketPC and get it all up and running.

Did you download the latest version of ActiveSync from www.pocketpc.com ? I think it should be version 3.6

Also, make sure the PocketPC is firmly connected in the cradle's seat. It should make a twinkling noise when it connects, and it should turn itself on when it connects.
