Urgent Help With Tomb Raider

Urgent Help With Tomb Raider

Postby Y2Kevbug11 » Dec 25, 2002 @ 5:54am

I emailed Eidos recently and they responded to me that Tomb Raider no longer was iPaq only and would do GREAT with the e740.

So my friend went and bought it for me for Christmas. Now, it gets pretty far in the installation (trying to copy a file), but then it brings up the code box (which is completely in german).

Then it says it is unable to get the serial number from the device and exits. Anyone have any ideas?

AFAIK Tomb Raider is only coded to work with the iPaq; it detects an iPaq by finding its serial number and doesn't install if it doesn't find an iPaq.

Not sure what you should do; do you have the latest version?

How can I tell?

Supposedly the man said the game was updated and that it should work fine. Their page also lists Toshiba as a compatible device.

Is there a patch I can get or something?

I got my friend with an ipaq to copy all the files ONTO the toshiba. they are all there. However, when I go to start it, it gives me the CANNOT FIND SERIAL NUMBER warning again!

Is there a way to crack this?

I would MUCH rather have Tomb Raider (cracked or not cracked) than not have it and have the refund. He bought it for a reason.

There has got to be something out there...

pppssst...if anyone has any idea, please contact me via aim (Y2Kevbug11).

Thank you beyond words.

Well there is a crack out there that lets you play the game on devices other than the iPaq. Look around for it. I'd tell you exactly where to find it, but since warez is found there also it would be quite inappropriate. And don't email me or anything, I still won't tell you, and I don't have the crack so I can't give it to you. Search around some. You'll find it.

Crosswind technique: "Using your peripheral vision, react to body movements, gasps, groans, and shouts from the other side of the cockpit, and always remember that it's better to be lucky than good."
