no, he is unlocking the normal frecuencies that the processor was able to run. When the processor was designed, it was made to run at 100, 200 and 300Mhz. When u are talking about overclocking like some past utilities to run SA206Mhz at 230Mhz, thats too dangerous, so the processor wasnt made to run as such speed... maximum 206Mhz with stability and no problems, thereafter, do it at ur own risk.
In XScale is different, u are capable to scale between frecuencies without run any danger, but those frecuencies are set since the processor was made. Now, are u sure ur processor can run at 1Ghz? u really sure the e740 processor can take that speed without make explosion?
