Pocket Quake is a Demo?!?!?!?!?!?

Pocket Quake is a Demo?!?!?!?!?!?

Postby ppcnewb » Jan 5, 2003 @ 11:52pm

I just got an ipaq 3765 and i found this pocket quake website. I became very interested and downloaded it under the impression that it was a full version. But after i beat episode 1 it says that I have to register it, but no where on the website did it say that it was a demo. I would just like to know where I can buy the full version

PocketQuake is a port of the Quake engine. It is your responsibility to use the appropriate data files. Our official website provides a link to the demo PAK files for id Software's Quake. In order to play the full version of Quake you must purchase the Quake game for your desktop computer. Once installed you should copy the id1\PAK1.PAK file onto your PocketPC. This file provides all of the levels for the continuing episodes of Quake.

Quake is copyrighted material of id Software. The only thing that Dan East did was port the engine to the PocketPC OS, along with several optimizations that increase the speed of the game. Please ask id Software for a means in which to purchase their game.

Yes, now I'm almost happy again. But these things could be very specified in the first page, ok?
Thanx.

PocketQuake is not a demo. We provide the demo data files so that you can play the game without having to own the original. PocketQuake is a freeware port of the Quake engine. What data files you use are at your discretion.

Please refrain from using large obnoxious fonts and reference to warez.
