i did remove this dk app, the bio stuff and some other app, but it did not make a big difference. i read posts from people stating that removing those achieved huge speedups on their devices but i do not see that on my iPAQ (it seems somehow it was almost at maximum speed before).

i find it very interesting to see the big differences on the different platforms.
up until now i thought that the 240fps i get on my 3970 were standard, but these replies show me that the 3970 is obviously a real gapi pusher.

on the other side i have seen people claiming that they get far higher rates using PocketGL than i do.

what i really do not understand is why HP chose this strange mediaq chip. i know that it can do GDI lot faster that the 3970 did, but seeing the result of the 3850 shows me that HP seems to mess around with the graphics which each new series.

mediaq told me to use bitblt instead of gapi, but obviously the chip is not fast doing this either...

ROFL, I just tried an old palm m100 (my sister's) on there using a similar program, and got a total comp of 1.6 framerate, and overclocked, i got a max of an 8.4 framerate. The program wasn't as good, though.

Just ran the speed test on a new Axim:

GDI Comp: 43.6
GDI DIB: 20.3
GAPI 16-bit: 43.9
GAPI 32-bit: 51.2
GAPI memset(): 48.0

Major improvement in GDI DIB.
