Why is Snails in a slump? I didn't realize that every game created had to sell consistently for 13+ months AND provide regular updates when nothing is necessarily "wrong". :)

Err... Win2k and win2k server are just as stable considering they run on the exact same kernel.

WinNT 4 is pretty stable; it's just that it's a bitch to get to work right. Lots of bluescreens, but that always happens because of misconfiguration or bad hardware.

there will be no more dynamic linking, programs will all use their own libraries and not universally linked libraries. This is because one program will work fine with the current DLL, but you go out and buy a new piece of software and it overwrites the DLL with a new version which the old program is incompatible with. This is, apparently, the reason for many computer crashes in Windows ... atleast that's what the article said.
