My CD-I emulator for Pocket PC!

My CD-I emulator for Pocket PC!

Postby TechMage » Apr 1, 2003 @ 2:32pm

Hey everyone, I have been working on a port of a CD-I emulator for a few days now. I basicly just re-compiled the source code of a PC CD-I emulator and added a menu, fixed a few errors in the code, etc. But anyway, I plan to work on this more in the future and get it to run more games. Right now it only runs the 3 zelda games that were released for the Phillips CD-I game system. If you don't know what the CD-I is, it was released way back in 92 and was the first video game console that used CDs instead of cartrages. It never was really popular so not many know about it. But now we have a port of it for the Pocket PC! Here is the link to some screenshots I took and the download for it (beta)!

Very nice... how slowly does it run, though?

Oh, it runs fairly fast (about 20FPS). Just download it, the .exe is compressed with the Pocket CD-I .exe and the game Zelda's Adventure, so it's a fairly small download.

Hey marge...I gotta say I have a new found respect for you...I never knew you could code. :-P

Anyway...not to be too nit-picky...but
a) you have no HOME link on your site, so it's tough to get back to the main page
b) your list of links to PPC sites DOESN'T HAVE FRICKIN' POCKETMATRIX in it... :-D

Anyhoo...cool site...
