I am already going to get a high-end desktop and I really don't want a laptop as everyone I know at college tells me they never use their laptops in class.

And I really don't want to spend over $300-$350 for it, when I get it.

I think you should buy a TabletPC. They're perfect for college. I know people that use a TabletPC exclusively in school. They don't ever use a single sheet of paper or a pen(cil).

If you want a PDA, the Zayo is now $300 dollars. I think $250 if the $50 rebate is still going. I have one, and its been great using it. When I forget a pencil to take notes, its a great backup. Its also been a great timewaster on those boring busrides home :)

Never used a TabletPC, so I can't recommend it or not.
