Ok, is it just me that is suspecting the frame rate calculation this program is performing is flawed? Over 1,000 FPS on ANY device?? You'd be hard-pressed to get those kinds of results on a top-of-the-line PC running at 640x480.

I don't know, those numbers just sound a bit suspect to me...

Yeah, there's something amiss with those results.

You can get ~1000fps when using memset to fill a screen sized system memory buffer, but not uncached display memory. That takes roughly 3 to 4 times longer (250..300fps), unless you're going across a 16-bit bus (as with e740) and then it takes about 12x longer.

We're not doubting what you got, we're merely doubting what the results really mean. Look at how the e740 preforms in benchmarks - very well.
