Can you recommend a PDA?

Can you recommend a PDA?

I need to get someone a PDA for under 300 pounds but with a good battery life (say 10 hours or more).

Is this possible in a Pocket PC? All the Pocket PCs I've seen seem to be very fast machines with a low battery fife :(

You might want to get an iPaq 3100, they're supposed to get an awesome battery life, although they're pretty rare.

Nothing at that price with that good a battery life. Why not invest your current $300 into getting an extended battery for the device you currently own.

Get an Axim and underclock it to 100 for long battery life. If an older Palm device will suit his needs, then an underclocked PPC should suit him just fine.
A little rudeness and disrespect can elevate a meaningless interaction to a battle of wills and add drama to an otherwise dull day.

The current color Palm devices really don't have a battery life advantage over PocketPCs. The iPaq H1910, although it only has a 900mha battery, lasts for quite a long while. The Asus Razor Zayo states that it will last for 12 hours on a single charge, but it costs $450. I don't see why anyone would absolutely REQUIRE a battery life longer than my iPaq H3955's, which lasts well through a full day of near constant use. Just plug it in when you get home and it's good to go after 45 minutes of charging. It's not really a problem.

The regular Zayo is now $300. Search MobilePlanet. As for battery life, I underclocked it to 100mhz (built in clock adjuster), and I got a minimum of 8 hours battery life.

For $400, you can get the Executive Edition. The CompactFlash sleeve that comes with it also serves as an external battery. That should theoretically last 16 hours on 100 mhz, as it is nearly the same mAH rating as the internal battery.
