If you want to use the standard Notes application available then I recommend installing this app called Notes Explorer which juices it up considerably:



Its also free.

I use HPC Notes (bought before I found out about Notes Explorer). Its expensive but worth it if you use it alot.

As far as taking notes in a classroom, I recommend the Intermec 6651. Its an older device but its highly versatile - you can use it as a micro-notebook or as a Tablet PC. You can find them on ebay. I'm actually trying to get one of these.

Check out the screenshots in the last link - they're pretty good. The middle link shows what the integrated camera can do.

I use Pocket Word, with my pockettop keyboard. It is really easy, because i can type faster than i write.
