You can use IRDA to link wirelessly between PocketPCs. RocketElite, Snails, PocketQuake, are all multiplayer capable games that I am aware of off the top of me head.

The IRDA port transfers data at 115Kbps, twice as fast as a 56k modem. IRDA keeps its link as long as you stay within 45 degrees and 6 feet, so if you're sitting infront of each other across a table then you'll probably maintain a decent link unless one of you gets excited and jumps around.
