Well im not so sure which would be more after adding tax and all but on hp's web site threw the education discount and 30% of coupon the h1940 is around 240 dollars.

I would not recommend going with the 1940 because of the horrible yellow tint that tends to a cure when tilted( see image at end of post) , not so slick battery life ( 2 - 3 hours 8O ) , and the fact your going to have to spend another 30 - 100 for a case ( depending on the case , hehehe 100 dollar vaja  ).
You might as well just go for the 2215 which also has a CF slot ( even if your not going to use it ) , commercial backed IR port , much better battery life ( 5 - 8 hours ), a case , a cradle , faster BT , grips on the side , and a 3.5 head phone jacket ( trust me 2.5 headphone jacks are not fun... ).

I bought my hp 2215 in compusa for 400 dollars ( because I wanted that good ol' warnty )

unfortuantly this IS an accurate pic of the 1940's very apathetic hackneyed screen.
