Dies Irae
Dies irae, dies illa
solvet saeclum in favilla,

Quantus tremor est futurus,

You claim you don't know what D&D rules are, but that you don't enjoy them? D&D is a pen-and-paper RPG traditionally set in a Tolkien-esque world. It's known for having a complex, intricate rule set and battle system. Games like Neverwinter Nights and Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 (don't know about the PS2 versions, though) use the rules.

[EDIT]Oh, I think I see what you were saying... yeah, knowing the rules will make it a lot more enjoyable. Knowing about things like what provokes an attack of opportunity and how AC is determined will help you a lot. Also, knowing the rules will help you pick a class and race better because it will help you know more about the pros and cons of each.
