New Soft Keyboard for Pocket PC using 6 large keys - TenGO

Would just like to let everyone know that the official verison of TenGO v1.1 is now released. It comes complete with accented character and Windows Mobile 2003 support. A German Dictionary version is also available.

TenGO™ is a powerful soft keyboard for handheld pocket devices. It uses an innovative tap-and-scribe method to input text on the Soft Input Panel (SIP). TenGO is specially designed for PDAs using only 6 large alphabet keys to type without compromising screen display. Fewer keys makes it easier to type, while larger keys allows you to type fast, and for much longer, without missing or hitting the wrong keys. Using the same letter positioning as the conventional keyboard makes searching for the letters easier, and also means you do not need to spend time to learn a new complicated keyboard layout. TenGO also makes typing words with accented characters as simple and easy as typing normal words.

I am Edwin from Xrgomics, the company behing TenGO. Thanks for your comment on TenGO. Hope I can help clarify on it.

TenGO was designed to replicate a smooth flow of typing which entails:
1) Typing out the word and then looking at the word formed and selecting the correct word in the hint window if necessary.
2) The words you use will quickly float to be the top choice.

It is often easier to just simply complete the word and then check rather than check the word continuously (which is the main design for TenGO - to incorporate a smooth flow with six large keys).

Hi Firebytes,

Just in case you do not know, in TenGO you can add new words to the database by drawing a line across (scribing) the letters and forming the word character by character (see step 3 of the animated screenshot in the posting above).

The word will automatically be saved on space, punctuation or carriage return. So the next time round, you just need to tap out the word in the usual way.
