Palm T3 tungsten

Postby ottoman » Oct 28, 2003 @ 5:19am

I just recently returned my Sony UX50 and will patienty wait with my $800 gift card for the new Toshiba or if the screen isn't too yellow the 4155.

I returned the UX50 for exactly what Sponge is referring to, the complete lack of game presence. I was very impressed with Warfare Inc. in high res and it easily blew away the PPC version. Speed was just fine too.

But one game does not make up the gap that exists between PPC and Palm when gaming and emulators are concerned. The new Palms have the potential to make PPC games look just plain bad like the PPC did back in 2000-2001 with the higher resolution and added speed but it seems like most developers are just plugging away with business app solutions. A shame.

The screen and form factor of the UX50 was awesome and makes my existing line of PPCs (2215, E755, 5555) pathetic and pixelated. But I missed my games. So I returned the UX50 so I can get back to playing my games, pixelated and all.

Organic Superlube? Oh, it's great stuff, great stuff. You really have to keep an eye on it, though--it'll try and slide away from you the first chance it gets.

I think Sony makes some excellent quality products. They just need to learn that Palm OS just isn't the way to go. :P
