Well, is everyone straight on the naming convention then?

While everyone is playing the semantics card, I'll explain my conventions. I will not use God to exclusivly refer to the Christian version. There is other big-g gods. From now on I'll refer to the Christian god as "the Christian God", or with some other designating atribute. And I'll probably forget to capitalize some of that; I hope your minds can work around that tremendous obstacle when it comes.

Oh, and does anyone want to get back on topic and explain to me why the Christian God is so hot on creating a universe full of sentient beings so he can forever torture the vast majority of them?

The reason there are not other big G gods is because they have their own names. If you refer to the Christian god as God then it should be capitalized. About being back on topic. Read the first damn post and learn what the topic is. Also, who says the vast majority of people are being/will be tortured by God?
