How to rencode movies with aspect ratio of 2.35:1 to PPC????

The dvd is encoded and it;s not my software... i've tested them on my dvd player and thats how it is too. The only time where the image was perfect was when i watched them on a hdtv widescreen.

Ok...now i need some help i just ripped the dvd and it came to be about 2.4 gb now how would i go about croping the video??? I chose null transform and did the whole crop thing to get rid of the black bars but now the thing just looks square...when i transfer it to my pocket pc will it be stretch out full screen???

You have to use the strech command now, and just play around with the aspect ratios until it looks OK (or just resize it to 320x240 and be done with it)

Why don't you resize it so the height is changed?
what I mean is don't change the width of the movie, it's the height that is causing this.
