Gametrac release?

Gametrac release?

Postby Jadam » Dec 23, 2003 @ 4:09pm

Ok so that WinCE gaming device is apparently going to be released soon

it boasts a 400mhz ARM9 processor and a 64bit graphics subsystem... thats about it.

Now... first of all, the thing is ugly IMO.

Secondly, 64bit graphics subsystem? sounds awfully similiar to a MediaQ...

Finally, WinCE? why not WinMobile 2003? they would have had a much larger starting library...

www.gametrac.com

Wierd also, it has a camera.... and a 2.8" screen, arent we all used to 3.5" + screens nowadays?

Dan, please dont tell me this is what you have been waiting for...

heres another article.

As of right now, all I want is the ultimate gaming machine. The PSP. I take it that the Zodiac does not have the gamepad button layout and runs PalmOS afaik. Besides, I know jack squat about the new portable devices. I know that the Asus 620 has full speed SNES and that this new device finally looks like a good gaming PDA (after the E125) again. That's all I need to know.
So I guess that's a yes right there :D

Haha, how interesting... The 1up preview was written my an old apprentice of mine years back :P Glad to see he's still doing what he loves.... Har har, Smitty, if you're out there, Thanks for the skateboard!

Anyway, I got one word for that new wince game device:

gamecom

Bleh, if you know what that is, then you'd instantly recognize the similarities.

Dunno, with PSP just around the corner, I can't get behind any new handheld device until I see what the PSP is all cracked up to be. I mean a gaming device made by a company with a reputation for making great hardware has always been the selling point for me when it comes to these lesser known companies like tapwave and the like. That's not to say I don't like what they have to offer, I'm just cautious with which company I put my faith in.

See with the PSP... its going to have amazing handheld hardware...

BUT... the battery life is going to be down teh shitter just like the old Sony NR70s or the new UX50s, and even worse because of all the high power chipsets they are placing in the device.
