one thing though taht you have to think about the 3955 only has pocket pc 2002 which is not optimized for the xscale processor and only has a 100mhz bus to the ram i believe which would hinder its performance and when you add that together it would score about the same as the lower end strongARM pda's like the 1945 i believe

Asus 620, get it. The 3955 sucks batteries dry, and it's slower than the Asus.

i dunno the problem i have with the asus though is

1 not being able to switch out batteries or some kind of expansion pack plz?

2 I am reading emulation can cause this asus to go down to like 3-4hrs of play time vs. 19 and you can't even get 19 unless you try using it without a backlite

3 accessories.....i am unable to find a usable keyboard for it under $90 unless the universal belkin wireless keyboards do? are those IR enabled or is it something like bluetooth which the a620 does not support?

You can't get nineteen hours of straight emulation on any device.

A lot of the emulators that say they are meant to be run on the iPAQ's can they run on any ARM based processor aswell such as the asus a620? like these emus here http://www.pocketemulator.com/ can they run the asus? Also do they make a CF card I can put in the asus that would give me an available usb port for such uses as a controller?

The asus accepts simultanious button taps, but there is probably a USB CF thing out there somewhere, Google it and look on E-bay. Don't expect to save much battery though, anything going through CF other than a storage card drains power a lot faster than normal.

You can't replace batteries on the H3955, either. And the expansion packs make the already huge H3955 obscene in size.

The power consumption of a CF card is negliable, it has no effect on battery life. Bluetooth will obviously take up more battery, especially transferring stuff actively.
holy internets batman.
