quake 1 "freeware version"

Which is funner to play?
Quake 2 runs very choppy on my TOSHIBA e755, but is extremly cool.
When I intalled QI I got this message that says to buy it and call some number. I realy could have sworn that this was completly free.
I realy need help

Yeah, it is free. Make sure you downloaded the correct setup file on the Quake download page. And the PAK file may have been corrupted during download.
