Hi Dan!

Thanks for the reply. The reason I was asking is that the press release of the 2300 says "With support for up to 2MB of ultra low-power SDRAM, it enables mobile phones to deliver powerful 3D gaming" which seemed quite low as an "upper limit". If the limit is 2mb then one can only guess that there will be several devices with 512kb VRAM - effectively ruining the chip as anything useful on 240x320 resolution displays.... :( Getting GLQuake to run in 2mb was probably not the most rewarding of tasks...

I really want to believe that this chip will make a difference, but I also did that before the past 2D chips from ATI and MediaQ were released (using 384kb of VRAM and no SDK)...

I'm not sure what all ATI has tested the chip on. I know they have publicly demonstrated it on the XScale 400 MHz and on a TI OMAP machine.
