Is the same as if you say that Half-Life is like Doom...it´s a genre, and we can´t discuss about that... the games are similar, but aren´t copy... And snails was made for palm (I mean, pocket pc) plataform, and worms launched his first game for ppc just about 1 or 2 months ago!!! I don´t see any problem to play a Worms clone in a ppc if the worms isn´t already avaliable to that plataform!!!

Snails are the best!! I think that the started trying to make a game similar to Worms to play in handhelds, but they finished making a terrific game!! I prefer Snails to worms!! Snails is much more fun!!

All I can say is, ideas evolve and inspire new ideas. If there could be only one game in each genre, we'd be very sorry. Also, I think Snails is original in many ways, and rather different than W*rms. It also involves a lot of innovative details and artistic content, that might go way further than W*rms does. (Although I love that game) Also, I think T**m 17 didn't improve their game for a decade in any big way, and they've been inspired by many other earlier games, such and Liero, Scorched Earth, etc.
I hope small devs and indies will always have the right to develop games - even in existing genres or styles and that ever-stricter copyright and patent laws will not bring our society and culture to a complete halt.
