Everytime I try to install Age of Empires Gold Edition, the Install Wizard does start, but then I get a couple of error messages (sometimes one, sometimes three, which read the following (roughly translated from german):
Age of Empires Gold Edition for Pocket PC Setup: setup.exe: Error in execution
Command in "0x0227c193" leads to storage in "0x6016400". "read" could not be executed in the storage.
Click "OK" to end program.
After clicking "OK" another window shows up:
setup.exe - Error in execution
command in "0xaaf5dbc1" leads to storage in "0xaaf5dbc1". "read" could not be executed in the storage.
Click "OK" to end program.
And then, there's another one...
What did I do wrong? I got an Ipaq 1930 and the matching Age of Empires version.
I guess, it's not about the OS or processor of the iPAQ not matching with the Age of Empires version, it seems to be the install programm that doesn't work.
I tried a copy of my friend (he too got the game) and it showed the same messages again!
