My a 716 also goes down in multiples pf 10, but I have played SNES anbd GBA games for around 30-40 minutes and still be up at 100%. I had an e740 and this blows my e740 away totally. I would use wifi for 15 minutes and already be at 65% I would also get a battery warning and it would shut my PPC down. When I would start it up it would say battery at 1%. I don;t get thosr problems with the a716. I can play for 2 hours and still be around 60% of power. I never use the wifi longer than an hour at a time so I don't know how long it lasts. The only negative I have noticed is that when I am recharging it will cycle from 0% to 100% during charging. I have to take it off of the cradle to see how much power it actually has.
I was thinking of getting the extended battery, but now I'm not sure I need it because I cannot run the batteries out.
I believe if you put it in power saving mode, and not play games or use wifi then you can get 17+ hours using it.
I'll have to try that next week.
