Asus 716 performance?

Here are my results:

Settings: Turbo mode; enable automatic mode checked; display brightness 3rd level

1 hour 00 min: 40% remaining (battery drops 10% every 10 minutes)
1 hour 15 min: 30% remaining; low battery warning
1 hour 38 min: 10% remaining; 'not enough battery power to stream music' warning message
3 hour 45 min: 0%

Started off surfing the web and switched over to internet radio until receiving 'not enough battery power to stream music' message (after 1hr 38min). Could not continue receiving internet radio but was able to surf the web for an additional 2 hours before unit shut down.

I'm still listening to mp3s and the battery level is still at 30%

On a side not. The wireless reception on this thing kicks ass! I can go farther than I ever have with previous PDAs on my wireless network. I didn't even know my network went that far!

I don't know what to tell you Jello, I thought I may have similar issues with my battery but I'm not. Email Asus's tech and see what they think.

Could high encryption on a network cause quicker battery loss becuase of additional processing power needed to decrypt the signal?

I probably talking out of my ass on that last question..

Jello is right. Just surfing sites my battery still drops... Its the wifi that is killing the battery, not the processor.
