I seem to have a thing for chessgames, unfortunately none of them are free. So far I have tried, and liked, Pocket Fritz 2, Pocket Grandmaster, Chesscapade, and Kasparov Chessmate.

wA free chess game with AI is at http://www.freewareppc.com/games/chess.shtml. You need Microsoft's .NET compact framework to play it.

There's also one (freeware) that is strictly 2 player, but I lost the link. If you want it, I'll find it for you.

I enjoy chess, but I have no idea what en passant means. I hope this helps anyways.
