If ASUS does not want to disappoint us users and want to have
a loyal following, then ASUS should release the upgrade. As a user
just spent $450 on a new gadget and not getting all the new features
from WM2003SE will leave a bitter feeling. Treat us customers nice
and we'll treat you with respect.

I would really appreciate getting the 2003se update..... or at the very least it would be nice if you released the other updates that you have hidden away on your ftp4 server

I think having the update to SE or whatever would be great. But making it free is just a silly request. Charge like 20-30$ for it and that should make everyone happy in the long run. Obviously, on the newer devices, it should be pre-loaded, or if purchased after a certain date they should get a rebate to cover the cost of the upgrade (if its not already pre-installed due to old inventory).

upgrade policy

Postby jules » Apr 7, 2004 @ 12:01pm

saw the last Asus model revealed at the cebit, i 'll more likely to buy it if i know that Asus takes care of its customers (Dell lost me because of its poor customer policy!) You, Asus are doing the opposite of Dell (we dont plan to offer wm2003se but when their buyers are signing petitions,...perhaps we will think about it), you are first asking your customers before taking a decision, it is a very clever way of acting !
Your next pda will have all i was waiting from a good pda manufacturer :
2 MEMORY SLOTS Cf et SD(with sdio!) ! wide screen, bluetooth, wide screen, large ram etc
Sure, if know you'll offer the option to update to wm2003 se , for your existing customers, i will be a new Asus customer!
sorry for my bad english, i am french

sorry for posting also in general by mistake

Using the good integration of Landscape support from wm2003se on the a620bt or similar would take these machines to a much higher level cause they are fast enough to do it in the right speed.

I would use it for much better reading (pdf, lit) and working with my PocketExcel.
May the force be with ya...

I hope that asus will decide to release the 2k3 SE update but I want also to remember the ROM UPDATE! because my pal 620 still have the speaker pop problem :(
It's incredible what's happened with no directly support from asus!
Now many months passed and still no rom update for 620BT IT....for me SE is the last chance for asus regarding the rom update, if even now there will be no response from them I for sure never buy an asus product anymore whatever it has to offer!

Hey it's still one of the fastest and smallest around. It's current.
The 716 was to big in my eyes.
The 620BT will remain competitive in the coming year.

And return the trust of the buyers to buy Asus products.
It will give you the difference with the other vendors.
We in return will reward this in buying 1st class asus products.

For me no more toshiba or dell.
