sure you can stream data using windows encoder there is an article for that in pocket pc magazine and I believe there might be more ways but that is the one I know

my ipaq 4155 came with a file explorer software than i can use with the built in wifi to browse my entire network... i can play any mp3, avi, divx file on any of my network computers on my ipaq wirelessly

Yea, I use Resco File Explorer for networking on my PPC. It's very easy, plus it's got a good FTP client.
