Pocket Pet ?

Ladies and Gentlemen,<br><br>I am the development to a Flash based, PET for the Pocket PC platform.<br><br>But since the Flash player cant use the FLASH5 movies , I am very restricted.<br><br>So what I want to know, is if this pet would be cool at all. Instead of a tamagotchi pet, I was thinking about something like a BABE. That you must do specific things with her, be aware this is not about sex at all. Maybe that you must train her, feed her, play games with and so on. Educate her or something. Much alike the games from Eruptor, just that this would be in colour and for pocket pc.<br><br>So should I go on with this project? Its up to guyz.<br><br>And cause of the restrictions, I am not able to save the game. Well, I myself have two children, so I'm not about to begin taking care of something that I don't have to. I'm sure others would use it though. Keep in mind that the people who frequent this site enjoy games like Quake. Those type of people would probably not tend to use something like a virtual pet as much. Maybe if it were written as a Quake Bot they could use it as target practice or something...  :)<br><br>Dan East

Actually, I think eberyone on this site would be extremely interested if it was sexual, and she was hot and you could undress her and do all sorts of uncouth things; considering that 99.999% of the people on this site are male.

So it might be more interesting making it more sexual than taking care of a fish?<br><br>I was also thinking about that at the very first time you play it, it begins with a living cell. Then you must taking care of it, then suddenly one day it would become either a pop star, a lazy guy fat guy, a babe, or even an animal. After how you treat the cell.

<br><br>Well, there are yet two options I can make this pet in.<br><br>1, You start with a simple cell, then you must treat him the right way to make it to be a babe or whatever. What it becomes depends how you treat it. It can under special circumstance be a dog, a monster, a nerd, or whatever.<br><br>2. Its more like the porta series, you download a special specie than you gonna play with it.<br><br><br>For the save issue, I was thinking about a password solution. A password for every phase your pet is going in. Or after a special phase you got the password, then you must go to a site and download the second phase. Or something like that..<br><br><br>What do you think<br><br>

NO, and make it free. i hate having to do extra stuff just to play a stupid game. if it was a worthwhile game, which i rarely waste my time with sure, but a portapet should be free.  <br><br>   I like the cell idea, but it would be a hassle to get the passwords and stuff, and thats is just another chance to make us pay.  I keep my palmIII just to play porta pimp and porta ho, so i walk around school with 2 pda's,(cant you just imagine how popular i am?~) so id love to lose one, preferably the palm!

Sure this will be free, but as the restrictions of the Flash player, I must use the 'trick' that you need to download after a specific phase.

why must u use flash, and also, pocket pets are out, i threw my tomogachi out the door long ago, we prefer real pets now, u know the ones that pee on the carpet and stuff.

It would be more complicated than a character ( dog or whatever ) dancing in your screen. It'll evolve, to a girl, a monster, a fish......or whatever, if you treat it the right way.

I think the whole "make it sexual" idea here is the way to go.  Tamagotchis and other virtual pets ARE out now, but not if you put an interesting twist to the game.  I think doing it in flash is a bad way to go too.  I say, make it in a programming language that can write files, etc.  That way, you can make a virtual babe that you can . . . play with.  Who knows?  Maybe, when you fully develop the virtual babe and it's ready to leave your care, it exports to a quake bot and you can play with it in PQ.
