Entirely seperate retelling, hence labling it a crappy remix is an ignorant statement. You don't know what the game is going to be like. HALO isn't even a very good sci-fi, I'm not sure why you're holding it up as something special.

I remember reading somewhere that they hired a sci-fi writer to do storyboards for the game. Even if the story sucks, its presentation will be superb (Half-Life anyone?)

Bungie hired a novelist to do the story for Halo.

James: I know Halo's story in and out, and, in my opinion Halo > Doom in almost everyway.
