Recording from TV to desktop

Recording from TV to desktop

Postby Chad » Aug 9, 2004 @ 3:15am

I have a pinnicle USB thing that lets me take stuff off of my camcorder, so I was thinking that maybe I can take stuff off my Dish onto my computer with it? If so, what programs would I need?

Also, I have a S-video plug on my GF4 MX420, could I use that to record?

I believe you'd need some sort of Video-in connection on your desktop. I don't know much about satellite video recording though, since I've got cable. :P

I don't know much about your USB reciever. I have something called the WinTV usb, which comes with software that can let you record video on your pc, but as it's a cheap one (only $50 four years ago), the best resolution I get without pixelation is 640x480.
