In my experience it is very much so.
Much more than European nations which in reality are prisons of political correctness and where social dependency on others is the norm.

I wasn't referring to the crime rate itself, I was referring to the nature of the crime. RANDOM violent murders and horrifically bloody murders are more common here than in Europe.
