Organic Superlube? Oh, it's great stuff, great stuff. You really have to keep an eye on it, though--it'll try and slide away from you the first chance it gets.

Jello: You just said it yourself in the posts you quoted: making the ROM is the hard part. They also said they won't release an unoptimized/unfinished verion. Thanks for supporting my point. Selectively ignoring facts, nice.

Oh, and my "old as shit device" got an upgrade to 2003. Not that age proves anything.

Clearly something happened during development out of the normal. How the hell much more do you want them to work on something free? I'm sure if it were up to you you'd have them working on it for months and months, taking time and resources away from other devices. It doesn't make sense. They didn't just abandoned it; they spent 1/4TH OF THE DEVELOPMENT TIME TRYING TO FIX THIS PROBLEM.

You people are being completly unreasonable here, plain and simple. Instead of directing your anger at a company that doesn't care for it's customers, you're directing it at one which far as we know ran into a legit problem. But you're all willing to burn them at the stake just as easily. And if they released a shoddy update, you'd all be here whining about that. They simply can't win.

It's not like your device magically will stop working now, or will work any less. You've all been fine with it up to now, but now you act like the damn thing is useless, and it's utterly retarded, simple. I've wanted an A716 for a while, and I still do, update be damned.

I'll be the first one to admit the announcements were a little shady. However, we're talking about 3 different entities, one in Taiwan, their US headquarters, and Justin. I'm disappointed - although not surprised - that something got misinterpeted, and we go from figuring out how to ship, to cancelled due to a huge stability bug. (Hell, could've been they thought this bug would go away quickly, and thus *were* figuring out how to get it out there)

clanggedin: After saying you weren't buying Asus, blah blah blah, you then say that this should be out on all the other sites, making it sound like you wanted to go out and show everyone Asus sux0rs or whatever. You may not have meant it that way, but that's the tone of your original message.
