Hardcore Extreme Badminton!

Hardcore Extreme Badminton!

Postby Warren » Sep 1, 2004 @ 4:05am

I just got back from playing an hour of badminton. I'm now part of the MSU Badminton Club! YAY! I'm not that bad, I played with some hardcore professionals and my team won somehow (I did like, 10% of the work...my teammate was the head guy, so he raped all, absolutely INSANE). Then finally a white girl came (it's all Chinese there) and we talked and became friends, so we're a team and went against a little Japanese girl; it was kind of unfair, but we were all about the same skill so it was a lot of fun. I have a high reach so I cover the foreground and smash high ones down into their faces. Awesome, now I can't wait til Thursday for the next meet!

You think that badminton is extreme? You've had a really bland life, haven't you?

I couldn't get to sleep one night, and the men's olympic badminton tournaments were on. I wanted the South Korean to win, the Indian was a prima donna.

[Edit] I shouldn't make posts on heavy medication.

I think you meant prima donna and not someone before Esther.

*edit* It's all good Cam. Just a little fun. :D

Badminton's a good sport. I like it. I once played these university players, who CLAIMED to be on the U team, with my dad and we won somehow... 8O But that's mostly cause my dad played U and he's got a lightening fast, accurate smash (which is what you call it in badminton - not spike). Still, I think I'll just stick to soccer. I tend to like more in-your-face competition than that performed between obstacles. ;)

I like watersports and volleyball. I never tried badminton, maybe I should try it sometime.

Badmontons cool, I know lots of asians that play it pretty hardcore, I'm more of a Tennis/Ping pong kinda guy myself thou (Basketball is #1 for me, and #2... Foosball)
I kinda wanted to start a thread about foosball, but I have no idea if anyone on these forums plays foos, it would be cool if someone does though, I'm approaching the "pro" level, I think foosball gets less respect as a sport/game than most others kinda like badminton.

Probably because it's not very exciting to watch.
